The Cottage

2 Jacques Cottages is a family-owned comfortable home, equipped to a very high standard.  It has been newly decorated and re-furbished.

Situated in the heart of a peaceful hamlet, the cottage is ideally placed for beautiful Heritage Coast walks as well as surfing on the sandy National Trust beaches.  Within walking distance there is a 13th century Inn and the Reverend Hawker’s church at Morwenstow.  Pony trekking is also available nearby. Further afield is the town of Bude which has a range of leisure activities.

Our cottage is of 18th century origin, comfortably sleeps six and boasts an extensively equipped kitchen.  Key features include:

  • Double bedroom (Double bed)
  • Twin bedroom (Twin beds)
  • Kitchen (Washing machine, fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave & dishwasher)
  • Dining room
  • Lounge

The dining room has an inglenook fireplace.  There is an open fireplace in the lounge together with television and DVD player.  In the large sun room adjoining the dining room, there are books and games to enjoy. Upstairs there are the three bedrooms, 1 kingsize, 1 double and 1 twin-bedded, all with linen provided.  The bathroom has an electric shower.

A feature of the property is its gardens.  There is a small sun trap at the front, and at the rear there is a large lawned area as well as a sitting area close to the kitchen.  At the back of the property, there is adequate parking for two cars.

There are steps to both the front and back doors. There is a shingle path leading from the parking area at the back of the garden. Within the property there are two internal steps – one from the kitchen to the dining room and one on the landing upstairs.  There is a slight threshold from the dining room to the sun lounge. The cottage has fitted carpets/cushion flooring and wooden floors with rugs.
